1. Introduction

OM Group respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information may be collected, used, stored and protected when you visit www.omgroupco.com or contact us through the website.

We have written this policy to be readable rather than dense. If anything here is unclear, you are welcome to contact us using the details in Section 16.

2. The Legal Basis for This Policy

This policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, which currently govern the handling of personal information by organisations in India.

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 introduce a new framework, with substantive obligations taking effect in phases from 14 May 2027. OM Group is preparing its practices for that framework and will update this policy as those provisions come into force.

3. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to:

  • visitors to www.omgroupco.com
  • people who submit a product, material or supply enquiry through the website
  • people who contact us about transport, fleet or vehicle opportunities
  • people who submit a job application through the website
  • people who contact us by telephone or email using the details published on the website

It covers information collected through the website and directly related communications. It does not cover separate commercial arrangements, contracts or business records arising outside the website.

4. Information You Provide Through an Enquiry

Through the Request a Quote form: your name, company name (optional), mobile number, email address, the product category and subcategory you are enquiring about, quantity and unit of measure, project location (optional), and any message you include.

If you contact us about transport, fleet or vehicle opportunities, we hold the details you choose to share — typically your name, contact number, vehicle type and location.

If you email or telephone us, we hold whatever information you share in that communication so we can respond and conduct our business discussion with you.

We ask for the information we need to respond usefully. You are not required to complete optional fields.

5. Information You Provide Through a Job Application

Through the Join Our Team form, we collect your name, mobile number, email address, current location, and the department and position you are applying for. You may also provide your current company, total experience, expected salary, notice period and a cover letter. You are asked to upload a CV or resume (PDF, DOC or DOCX, up to 10 MB).

This information — including your CV — is used to assess your application, contact you about it, and consider you for the role you applied for.

If your application is unsuccessful, we may retain your details for a reasonable period in case a suitable role arises, unless you ask us not to. You can ask us to delete your application at any time using the details in Section 16.

6. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the website, limited technical information may be recorded by our website infrastructure and measurement tools: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, referring website, and timestamps.

This is used to understand how the website is used and keep it working properly and securely. It is not used to identify you personally.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website uses Google Tag Manager (container GTM-KPTCD4S2) to load measurement and conversion-tracking tools, currently configured to include Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion and remarketing tracking. Cookies set through these tools may be used to understand how visitors use the website — for example, which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive — and to measure whether an enquiry submitted through this website followed an OM Group advertisement.

The Google Ads tag loaded on this website measures whether a website visit resulted in an enquiry, and also participates in Google's remarketing functionality — meaning Google may use these cookies to show you OM Group advertisements later as you browse other websites within Google's advertising network. This is standard behaviour of the Google Ads tag once installed, and is a genuine advertising-cookie use, not merely conversion counting. You can review or opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings.

The website also uses Google reCAPTCHA on the Request a Quote form to prevent automated and spam submissions. reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies and processes technical data under Google's terms — see Section 11.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the website function, including the CAPTCHA on the quote form.

8. Website Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand aggregate website usage so we can improve the website. The current configuration is deliberately narrow: it is set up to record a single conversion event when a Request a Quote enquiry is completed, rather than broad behavioural tracking across the site.

We do not intentionally send personal information such as your name, phone number, email address or financial information into our analytics tools.

9. Why We Process Your Information

  • to respond to your product, material or supply enquiry
  • to respond to transport, fleet or vehicle enquiries
  • to discuss requirements, prepare quotations and conduct business communication
  • to assess job applications submitted through the website
  • to operate, maintain, secure and improve the website
  • to prevent misuse of our website and enquiry forms
  • to keep appropriate business records
  • to comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations

We do not use your information for unrelated purposes without telling you.

10. Consent and Your Choices

When you submit an enquiry or application, you provide your information voluntarily so we can respond. We process it for that purpose and the related purposes in Section 9.

Where you have given consent for a specific purpose, you may withdraw it by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out before withdrawal, and it may mean we can no longer respond to your enquiry or progress your application.

11. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

The website currently uses the following categories of third-party service to operate:

  • Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads — website measurement, enquiry-conversion tracking and remarketing (see Sections 7–8)
  • Google reCAPTCHA — spam and abuse prevention on the Request a Quote form
  • Google Workspace (Gmail and Google Sheets), accessed via Google Apps Script — enquiry and job-application form submissions, including CVs uploaded through the careers form, are transmitted to and recorded within OM Group's own Google Workspace environment

Beyond these, we may share information:

  • with OM Group personnel who need it to respond to your enquiry or application
  • with professional advisers where reasonably necessary
  • where required by law, regulation, court order or lawful request from an authority
  • in connection with a business reorganisation or transfer, where legally permitted

We do not promise never to share information, because legitimate service-provider and legal disclosures can arise. Where sharing occurs, it is limited to what the purpose requires.

The website links to OM Group's Instagram profile. If you visit or interact with us there, that platform's own privacy terms apply.

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

12. Where Your Information Is Processed

This website is hosted using Vercel, a cloud hosting and content-delivery platform. Google's services described in Section 11 (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads, reCAPTCHA and Workspace) are also operated by Google. Both Vercel and Google may process information on servers located outside India as part of their global infrastructure, subject to their own applicable terms and law.

13. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for — responding to your enquiry, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations.

In practice, enquiry and job-application submissions are currently retained as records within OM Group's Google Workspace environment (see Section 11) without a fixed automatic deletion schedule. OM Group has not yet defined specific retention periods for each category of information; this section will be updated with defined periods once that work is complete, rather than publishing a figure that current practice does not follow.

14. Security and Security Incidents

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss, including controlled access and standard protections on our website infrastructure.

No website or system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

If a security incident affecting personal information occurs, we will take appropriate steps and act in accordance with applicable legal requirements. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 introduce specific breach-notification obligations, including notification to the Data Protection Board, which will apply once those provisions come into force on 14 May 2027.

15. Children

The website is intended for business and professional use — construction material enquiries, supply discussions, transport opportunities and employment applications. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children through it.

We recognise a person under 18 may lawfully apply for certain non-hazardous roles in India. Where we become aware an applicant is under 18, we will handle their information in accordance with requirements applicable to children's personal data, including any parental consent requirements as those provisions come into force.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, please contact us using the details in Section 16.

16. Your Rights, Grievances and Contact

Subject to applicable law, and as the relevant provisions take effect, you may be entitled to ask what personal information we hold about you and how it is processed, ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information, ask us to erase information where applicable, withdraw consent previously given, and raise a grievance about how your information has been handled.

This is currently handled through OM Group's general enquiry contact below. A dedicated privacy contact and grievance officer will be designated ahead of 14 May 2027, when the DPDP Rules' substantive provisions take effect.
