From sourcing and processing raw stone to inspecting, transporting and supplying construction materials, each stage plays a role in getting the right material to the right place. Construction aggregates are sourced, crushed to reduce their size, screened into different fractions, assessed for grading, and prepared for delivery. Depending on project requirements, aggregates may be supplied directly for construction or used as part of the ready mix concrete production process.
Step 01 / 11The Beginning
Before it becomes an aggregate, a road foundation or part of a concrete mix, the journey begins with raw rock. Its natural structure is the starting point for the processing stages that follow.
Step 02 / 11The Source
Hard rock is obtained from the quarry and prepared for further handling. This first stage establishes the material that will move through the crushing and grading process.

Step 03 / 11Material Handling
Heavy equipment handles and moves raw stone for processing. Careful material handling connects the source to the crushing operation, where large rock is reduced into more usable sizes.
Step 04 / 11The Transformation
Crushing breaks large rock into smaller, angular fragments. The resulting material becomes the feedstock for screening and separation into aggregate sizes suited to different construction requirements.
Step 05 / 11Size Separation
After crushing, screening separates material into different particle size fractions. The size and distribution of these fractions help determine their suitability for different construction applications.
The resulting grades can be supplied for relevant uses according to the required material specification.
Step 06 / 11Grading and Inspection
A closer look at the material helps assess particle size distribution and grading. Sieve analysis is one method used to examine how aggregate particles are distributed across different sizes.
Inspection helps evaluate material consistency against the applicable requirements.
Step 07 / 11Material Readiness
Processed aggregate is stored in stockpiles and handled according to dispatch requirements. Wheel loaders transfer material into delivery vehicles so that the required supply can move towards a construction site or batching facility.
